GFL Men’s Ministry
Brother Cornwall Smith, Vice President |
Mission: The Men’s Ministry of The Greater Fort Lauderdale New Testament Church of God (GFL) is organized to carry out the mission, vision, goals and objectives of GFL through its ministry activities to the men of the GFL church body. Men will be provided the opportunities to gather to learn from God’s Word and from each other about how to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.
Vision:
- To help men assume their spiritual role of leadership beginning at home, then the church, and then into the workplace through obedient servanthood to Jesus Christ in sharing the gospel
- Work to bring unity in the body of Christ by tearing down denominational, racial, and ethnic barriers so that the body of Christ may become one in Him
Purpose: To develop honest relationships with other men that lead to an honest relationship with God through Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit enabling them to discover the challenge and adventure of being a man.
Goals: To encourage men to love the LORD with all their hearts, minds, souls and strength while being spiritual leaders of their homes as evinced by survey results and increased attendance/participation in ministry services. In essence, the overarching goal is to seek to cultivate biblical masculinity through relationships of love and accountability, resulting in Christ-like character, service, and leadership in our families, church, workplace and community.
Objectives:
- To establish a true and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, through prayer, worship, and the building of strong faith through the power of the Holy Spirit by the daily reading and study of God’s Word
- To build strong godly character through deliverance, integrity, and accountability
Value Statement: The Men’s Ministry gatherings will reflect the core values of the church.
